Is it normal for the dealership to charge you for any TSB's they perform on your vehicle? I had more than one done on my '03 and was never charged, but now that I want to get one done on my '04 they want to charge me the full one-hour labor.
What is normal or correct? Charge or no-charge? Pup ______________________________________________________________________________ '04 2500 SLT 4X4 QC/SB 3:73 - Extang Tonno - Weathertech floor liners & vent visors |

Check with James from White Marsh Dodge, he's the service manager there and a HTC member.
Let us know what you find out. |

A TSB is typically covered when the vehicle is under warranty and has a problem that the TSB applies to.
So if you brought the truck in and it was under warranty you shouldn't have been charged. Most dealerships will do TSB's under warranty whether they are needed or not at a customers request, but I know that some will not. So if you want a new flash and there isn't anything wrong w/ your truck that warrants getting one you could end up paying for it, although I think thats kind of rare. Only recalls guarantee you not to have to pay as they are safety related where a TSB is just a bulletin that says that if a truck has a problem this may fix it for you. |
