I have posted this on Dodge Talk and got some good responses, just wanted you guys to see what's going on too.

I got a 2-4 McGaughy's complete drop installed today. I got the frt coils, 4 Nitro shocks, and flip kit. Also installed were my CalTracs. Why is it not sitting even, I thought that the back would be lower than this...

Before

After

After

Underneath facing the back

Underneath facing the front

shackle

I've gotten some suggestions to move the shackle to the top eye, and to try to adjust the caltracs on the trasfer rod to release some pressure. Any more thoughts from you guys? Confused

yup.. dont think the caltracs are suppose to be touching all the time... from looking at it, it looks like they are torqued down pretty hard, even causing some deflection in the front half of the spring. I dont know enough about them, but am pretty sure they aren't suppose to be that tight. shorting the main bar (turning it clockwise) will pull the pressure off leaf springs.

you should have closer to a 5" drop even with just installing the 4" drop version, because your overload springs are already removed!

looking at the new perch's, i suppose by the design, they do not "have" to be welded. that's pretty cool! thumb2

iagreewith both responses-different shackle hole, and, the cal-tracs almost look like their bending/tweaking the leafs. The rear on a 2/4 usually sits a little higher than the front, yours seems a little off...

well, its sitting the way I want it to now...

But my gear housing is at an angle and still need to get that fixed. You can tell somethings up by looking at the brake calipers in these pics

And were any of these parts needed in the install? They were left in the box and I didn't bother asking the installer at the time.

Sorry, its a steel roll pan by Sir Michael's. My truck came with it from the dealership when I bought it new back in 04. You can pretty much find one on any site that sells truck parts.
