anyone else put these shackles on to find that their is very little clearence with the inside of the shackle and the leaf frame mount which when i put alittle weight on hits and rubs. any suggestions on this problem??????. The shackles themselves where not offset but centered and pretty thick, also suppose to be 2 inch and i measured only 1 solid inch of drop when done.

triple check the instructions for correct orentation. Most of the drop shackles are front/back specific and or Left/Right. What rubs exactly? the shackle itself rubs frame, or the end of the leaf bolt?

torque them down once full wieght of truck is on them.. even then, they will settle another .5" over next couple weeks.

I took the shackles back out and checked them, exactly the same size from side to side meaning no offset, I know they are put on right but when installed with any weight they rub hit the frame mount with the outer side of the shackle. They needed to be offset about 1/4 inch to the outside and they would have been fine.

Well i ground out and rounding the hitting area leaving the structural integrity in tack and now they will work but not to proud that i had to all for an inch of drop but now its done.

Depending on who made the kit the amount of torque on the kit may be different too. My kit didnt say anything but I called the company and it took about 10 ft lbs less on the urethane bushing side. Once I got that right it stopped squeaking and making bumping noises and allowed it to drop the remaining amount. It was very close to 2 inches but after th spring clamps I was well over the 2 inch mark.

My Truck *** UPDATED ***

BREATHIN, BUMPIN, and DUMPED.
