I have a flip kit with shock extenders etc, ok Im hitting the bump stops on bigger bumps, I hit my bump stops at least 5 times on the way to and from work every day, kinda aggrivating. Im thinking of putting air shocks on this thing to help give the truck some more ass and be able to carry more in the bed again, just this bump stop thing is a bit irritating. SUGGESTIONS?

..do you have your drop on the 4 or 4.5 inch holes on the shackles? Most flip kits have 2 heights built in to the shackles. I have mine on the 4 inch drop slot. i imagine the company that you got your flip kit from gave you the really thin bump stops?

What I'm getting at is,with my RC on the 4 inch slot, with drop shocks and a moderate load,I intermitantly hit the really thin bumpstops that I got from Moe's Performance. If your truck is on the 4.5 drop slot, you will definitely hit the stops more with your QC. Other than that, your air-shock option is looking really good right now...

Im at the 4" drop not the 4.5 and it did come with the short bump stops. Im real close to just notching this thing and being done LOL or just going ahead and getting the Air Ride Tech kit for the rear.

thumb2-looks like a pretty straight forward install.

brand_x--I was thinking about going the notch route also. Were you thinking of bolt-in or welded/fabricated?

Might bolt in for the time being, unless I do a big step notch, just kinda torn right now, but its evident that I cant do what I need to do with this settup

dont think the airbag assist will fit? the air bags shouldn't effect anything. Cause they will technically raise the "whole" rear of vehicle including all of the 5th wheel equipment. Which shouldn't make any changes in spacing between anything but the rear axle and bump stops.

Sorry, am i just missing something, i do that on a very rare occasion lol

Phil how do you like those assist springs? I was thinking after my drop of using those instead of traction bars and to help prevent bottoming out.
