I want to get thesedrop shackles. Will these affect ride quality or tow capacity? I'll occassionally tow bass boat of about 19'. I don't want to sacrifice my towing capabilities.

Go for it. The same ones i got, and wished i had bought them 1st (had the DJM's and they sucked). Belltech's version are manufacture exactly like the factory ones, only shorter, NO squeaking bushings. Top Quality
Drop shackles DO NOT change your towing capacity or ride quality, they only lower the rear about 1 3/4".

*Tip*, to get the MOST drop possible, DO NOT torque down the bolts until you have the entire weight of the truck back on the gound/tires.
