yah I've noticed those rust bubbles on trucks with the same hood scoop as yours...must be a common problem. Confused

found a fiberglass scoop that replaces the metal one. this is probly the solution to my problem. little more pricey but wouldnt have to worry bout rust returning. HTCrules

Make the dealer fix it under warranty. That should definitely be covered. Unless you have an ungodly amount of miles.

the rust is on the scoop along bottom edge on both sides. its not through but it has the paint all bubbled out so its really hard to get pics (thats also the dealers issue). but i will try to get some if the rain ever stops!!

I haven't seen it on mine, that's more of a factory poor paint job to me. I got 20K on mine.

RUMBLEthisB, where was your truck made? It may be a problem with that particular factory. I haven't heard of this being a significant problem on the Bees, but it could be, and a fiberglass replacement may be a good alternative. I would still have the dealer replace it though, and keep that as a spare....if you need help with finding a scoop, let me know.

dodge paint jobs on average leave more to be desired. tons of members including myself have had problems out of the factory paint whether it be rust or whatever. they really should work on that cause it sucks imo.
