I bought a CAI from a fellow forum member and it came disassembled w/o directions.

He told me this was the way it was going to come, so that's all good.

I'm just wondering about any "special" instructions about basic installation of CAI's.

Is it as simple as take off the stock and bolt everything up, or do i need to do anything in particular such as disconnect the battery or anything else?

Also, I've got a SC and it's already programmed... Do I need to return it to stock before I put the CAI on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just put it on. No need to return to stock or disconnect battery.

For the cost, install a new AIT sensor. I think it's only 7$ and cheap insurance.

Only tip, if your ride has a few miles on it, check the throttle body and clean it if it's a mess, good time for a PVC cleaning also.

Sorry I didn't get it cleaned up better prior to sending, but I was trying to get it to the post office before they closed. It really is as simple as it looks, hardest part is getting the factory stuff out.

It's not a problem, man! It works great actually!

I just got one question... How did you secure the AIT sensor? I've got everything in, but it doesn't quite feel like it's secure and air tight in that hole.

Other than that, it works great! The truck threw a code at first from all that air going in, but it adjusted itself and it's cool now.

The TB was actually pretty clean, but I guess the truck sat on a lot for a little while as there were mud dobber wasp nests under the Hemi hat filled with spiders... superscared But not anymore! Big Grin Now it's time for a good engine cleaning!

So, I plan on buying a new AIT and PCV and changing them now that everything is more accessible.

Thanks again!!
