Why don't you call Duane and ask him,.. or post in the sponsor forum threads?

Mine is broke too,.. but its not the end of the world. Its not like it decreases the performance of my truck.

2006 1500 QC TRX4 Offroad edition, factory tow package with 3.92's

My mods are located on or in my truck,.. I have come to the conclusion they work better there than posted on here.

did you get ahold of Duane yet?

mine broke to but Duane is a stand up kind of guy. took care of it.
he also has had the newer ones modifed to prevent this.
but like Jason said it really does not hurt anything

i used some large wire ties to strap in down, did not like the rubbing noise..
until the replacement showed up.

That is very common with that intake ( Mopar,3rd strike, E-bay ) all made in china and the welds are weak. I had mine re-welded to make it stronger when I bought my second e-bay unit. They charged me 5 bucks for the 1 inch weld at a machine shop. They also make a new product that you can weld aluminum with that all you use is a torch. It works just like a soldering gun and makes a weld that is incredibly strong. I used it at work to weld a steam pipe so it is the real deal. I'm sure 3'rd strike will fix ya up!

FYI 3rd stike is NOT made in china, it is weilded right down the road from Duane, and the pipe is shipped in from CA.
and they all should switch to the way the Rammhammer is built with a spring,
if i'd have caught mine before it broke i would have installed mine with a spring.
duane's fix is to cut the pipe again and put in another rubber coupling like in the TB. works fine, i just liked the clean look of his before it was cut, that is why i purchased it. Frowner

This reminded me of Tommy Boy,
"Why would someone put a guarantee on a box? Hmm, very interesting.
-Go on! I'm listening.
Here's the way i see it, Ted. A guy puts a fancy guarantee on the box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.
- Yeah, makes a man feel good.
- Of course it does. Why shouldn't it?
You figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come down and leave a quarter, am i right, Ted?
-What's your point?
The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer?
"Building model airplanes" says the little fairy. Well, we're not buying it
He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes.
Next thing you know there's money missing off the dresser and your daughter
is knocked up. I've seen it a hundred times.
-But why do they put a guarantee on the box then?
'Cause they know all they sold you was a guaranteed piece of shit.
That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box
and mark it "guaranteed", i will. I got spare time.
But for now, for your customers' sake, for your daughter's sake
you might wanna think about buying a quality product from “DUANE”."

Call the MAN,, if ya take the time to look around this site,,, HE TAKES CARE OF HIS CUSTOMERS. Anything I've ever seen on here regarding anything Duane Has sold or been involved with he's dealt with in a professional manner and gone the extra mile to make everyone involved satisfied (shut up Jay) Hope this helps ya... Bottom line is,, until you address the issue with him,, our opinions really don't matter.

mods,,, hmmmmm uhh yeah the line was getting too long,,, alot of umm stuff and things.
Someone pass the glue please? And yeah it's got DS inside!!

The cut pipe is the new chinese design, I just got a new "china aem copy" intake and it has the same thing, cut pipe with a second coupler right at the heat shield. Also, are the new 3rd strike intakes coming with a heat shield you have to bolt together? Actually, the only thing that was not up to par on my "china aem copy" intake was the mount that goes to fender fell apart right away. I ordered an AEM replacement from Performance Center for under $6 so it should be all good now.

3rd strike intake from another thread.

Ebay intake

Part from ebay intake that is failing, but replacing with an AEM part.

The filters are the same too, I didnt use the one that came with the intake, I put in an AEM dryflow in. I have a second brand new AEM dryflow if anyone wants it for their 3rd strike, AEM, or ebay 3.5" intake.
