I have an SRT 10 hood(OE). It getting painted right now so I can't look at it. Does the air flow straight in? Or to the side, where the air box is like aftermarket hoods? If straight in, what ideas does everyone have to make it functional so that I don't have to buy the filter setup that's $350+.

You can use this, and mod your airbox, or buy the mopar CAI, they match up perfect.

There was something I saw for sale last year that was used for the SRT and Daytona hood that held a rectangle style filter right above the throttle body and was supposed to fit right up against the underside of the hood scoop. I can't seem to find it now but maybe someone remembers that style. I'd like to get one for myself too

thumb2Hey raiderjay that intake setup came with your TRUE ram n air hood the SRT 10 hoods are not TRUE ram air hoods I heard cuz the opening needs to be more towards the front like your hood is a true ram air hood I almost got the same hood but ran short on cash heard they work great in mid-range and up though but im sure the Ramhammer blows that set up away right Big Grin

Mopar has a scoop that adds on to the bottom of the hood that directs air to the air box area.would be a great addition to standard and the Ram hammer intakes.

when i had an srt hood, i always had water pool up in front of the scoop after a rain etc and even after you drove it the water would still be there....so basically the air never got in that area to blow it off while your driving the road. can't be too effective for a ram air intake.

get a ramhammer!!!!

I dont think the SRT-10 hood would be a very effective ram air scoop kinda reminds me of the old GTO's with the hood scoops they did go through to the inside but the spot they where at on the hood let almost no air into them it hits the front edge and shoots up over the scoop

I think your best bet if you really really want ram air is to run a duct down to where the fog lights go thats what I'm gonna try and do
