You should NOT pop a code just by installing a CAI. Check your IAT sensor to make sure it's not damaged or positioned improperly.

iagree

I've tried 3 differant intakes and never had a CEL from it. For about $7 I put a new sensor in with each. Too finniky to damage!

what is the correct position?

You want the IAT sensor mounted straight out from the wall of the tube with the open side of the sensor protective plastic loop directly in the incoming air stream.

Rotate the key from "off" to "run" 3 times to read the codes. They will be displayed on the odometer.
A new IAT sensor is $8.00 from the dealer.

Mods...what mods??
