I got to thinking that my setup with my tube just wasn't right. So I now have my plastic drain hose coupler outside the fog light hole bezel. It actually sticks out far enough to breathe better, I'm pretty sure. I don't have any numbers to compare, but my butt dyno says the motor likes it that way. And I think it even looks better now. Wink

Some of the newer members may not have seen what I did with my 4 inch ram tube. So here's some pics.

Cheap plastic drain hose coupler from Lowe's

Cheap 4 inch semi-rigid aluminum dryer vent tube

Air horn modified to fit a 4 inch aluminum adjustable 90 degree elbow

Another view

Behind the bumper. This is with the plastic coupler behind the bezel

Tube feeding directly into the air filter box. The tape is a little messed up in that pic, but it looks better now.

Our local O'Riely auto parts has a velocity stack that fits the 3.5 and 4 inch pipe I wonder if that would fit? It would give a nice finishing touch to that.

BTW thats a nice setup. thumb2

Thanks. I've had this tube in place for months and have never had a problem with it.

I'll check at the local O'Reilly's for that velocity stack. Thanks. thumb2

I'm game. But not until I get my 4.56 gears, DTT, and traction bars installed. I already got the Magnaflow y-pipe installed. burnout Big Grin

iagree

And they need a bezel with the scoop built in that snaps into the fog light hole. One for each side.

My next experiment is adding a larger funnel to the existing black plastic coupler. I inserted the coupler onto a different landscaping coupler that steps down from 7 inches to 5 inches. I did a little trimming to make the leading edge of it better. The smaller coupler steps down from 5 inches to 4 inches for the 4 inch tube. This setup will cause the funnel to stick out even further where the good air is. I don't know if it will look too funky for the street or not. It may be for the drag strip only. But I can swap funnels very easily. That's one of the beauties of this...easily changeable and easily removable. Wink
