Wow, I am shocked at how lousy this intake fit. Anyone else have trouble mounting a 3rd strike. First the heat shield did not line up to the mounting holes, then the side closet to the radiatior did not fit around the coolant holding bottle(had to bend around, then it was too tall and hit the hood when trying to close, and the oil vent hose is much bigger then the stock and fits loose, ??? are they all the same 02-08 or are there different ones for different years. I am confident in modifications and fabrication and have fixed the problems but this has been a very frustrating install. So far I have not finished the job and will have to finish up tomorrow, anyone else have any of these problems??????

me either thats why i went with one, based on all the reviews on this site, I am thinking the day this one was made the guy was with his buddies the night before or something. Anyway got it all together and took it for a test ride, made more sound on full throttle, quiet otherwise, and honestly did not notice any wow factor increase in power. I must say the best noticed performance mod has been my edge evolution programmer, i did notice the difference when added.

Most CAI dont have a "wow" power increase. Its just part of the puzzle. It helps other parts to mesh. Also have you reset you ECM? It takes a while for our trucks to adjust to new parts too.
