Do you think it would be worthwhile to put the stock air cleaner parts back on with a drop in performance filter like AEM, Green or other?

Since I installed my CAI I felt like I lost some bottom end. But then have been reading that according to Dodge specs, the Mopar knockoff that I have(3rd strike, K&n, etc) Give better performance.

I am not going to be doing any engine mods now or in the future,.

I am going to be making a power wire to help with the lean mixture cause of the CAI.. But just wanted yalls opinion.

And no, getting another CAI like the RH is not an option cause its too much money for me right now.

My mods are located on or in my truck,.. I have come to the conclusion they work better there than posted on here.

That is the problem with 80 percent of CAI's out there. They provide their power up past 4000rpm and WOT and actually provide no low end power.

So if you gotta have that low end back and you cant get a RH....then going back to stock is probably your best bet I guess.

I would rather have a stereo upgrade than to purchase another CAI,.. Getting it past the wife would be the hardest part.

Its not so bad, but for me it really lugs when it shifts from 1st to 2nd if I don't put my foot into it.

When you get those 315 tires it will realy lug. Kumho tires have the worst rolling resistance of any tire. They stick to the road and they are loud. You should see a 2-3 mpg decrease with those tires.

Yes I will probably lose a little, but they are directional so they are quiet and they only wear about 5-8% more than a a BFG or GY M/T.

But as we all know if we all wanted mpg, we would have bought an import or other make of car.

The price of fuel doesn't really concern me that much, its the performance at the bottom end with the CAI that I dislike. I guess the higher end rpm curve makes up for itself when I tow my travel trailer.
