I just finished a testing a few different air intakes , and to my surprise there is very little difference beetween the ones I tried, all these results were tested by my flashpaq on the same road with the truck at operating temp. stock intake ran 0-60 6.48sec iat 88deg. Airaid part # 300-220 ran 0-60 6.37 iat 85deg. k&n 77-1533 ran 0-60 6.11 iat 88deg. Afe magnum force ran 0-60 6.71 iat 86deg. And last but not least ramhammer 0-60 5.89 87 deg iat.96 deg. outside

If your times are for 0-60mph then anything over about a .25sec improvement is pretty darned huge actually. Especially when you seen one intake doing sub 6sec vs one that is doing nearly 7sec. That is a pretty good indicator of torque and how fast air moves thru the intake and how fast the intake responds to WOT.

huge gains for the Hammer even with a 8* increase in ambient temp! (5.89 vs stock 6.48)
very disappointing with with AFE, it ran slower than stock, even with a it being 2* cooler during test.

Good data Jim! thumb2

Not surprised by Ramhammer performance, but I expected a little better from the AIRAID.

Jim guy, did you use the AIRAID box w/ MIT or just the box?

Phil, the Ramhammer IAT was 1 deg less than stock. He put the ambient temp of 96 deg on there last.

well guys I thought I was gonna get some strip time in tonight and test these intakes a little more, but it rained before I could change them out. that new airaid needs to be checked out a little closer my truck ran a 11.96 1000ft spinning hard of the line. It seems like it makes more power on the top end at speeds greater than my 0-60 that I tested it at. the part # is 300-220 check it out!
