Airaid CAI's. I am having trouble finding a K&N (which is what I really want)for the '08. I'm waaaayyy too cheap to buy the elephant dick, so I'm thinking about the Airaid or the Mopar CAI. I have plenty of low end grunt, and all I am really looking for is to add a mpg or two and to let the engine breathe a little better.

For a K&N you should be able to go to a local Autozone or advanced and order it from them.

yeah...haven't checked the local parts stores yet. Just been looking online so far. Anybody know about the performance differences in the K&N, Airaid, and Mopar?

it seems that with the exception of the ramhammer and maybe the afe that goes behind the headlight, most intakes are all the same and one isnt really better than another. that being said, i have an airaid and it works fine for me. i wouldnt expect a 1 or 2 mpg increase with one though. thumb2

was it something i said? lol

I just checked Advance Auto, and I can get a K&N through them for $340 including sales tax. Summit has the Airaid for about $295 including shipping. I've always used K&N, but I might change up this time.

Just to let you know K&N filters usually come in last in quality test. Let a lot of dirt thru and clogged faster than other companies. So the airaid may be the way to go. Some of them dont replace the hemi hat and some do. Make sure you buy the one you want.
