I am just finishing up a CAI install and have question reference computer. as my signature says I have a 07 ram with edge evolution programmer set on level 1.
Do I need or should I reset the truck computer for the new CAI, if so what is the proceedure on a 07.
Thanks in advance Smiler

Honestly I wouldn't mess with it. The gains are negligible and I've read about people putting their trucks into limp mode doing this. Not worth it IMO.

Pull the number 31 fuse, labeled PCM/, put key in ignition, turn to start, let truck go through it's system start up checks. The Check engine light will stay on and there will be a couple of chimes spaced several seconds apart at the end of the sequence. After the chimes, (mine does two) turn ignition off and replace the fuse. PCM is reset.

Have done this several times after the installation of parts and never had a problem. Expect a couple tank fulls of gas to be used before the truck completely relearns your driving habits.

Thanks for the info, I just did that proceedure and it worked just as you said, did not notice any immediate change but as you said will take some drive time,

I followed those directions 3 different times and I never got any chimes or anything. Never noticed a difference. Just drive the piss out of it for half a tank of gas and you'll be fine
