I heard Ray Evernham say last night that the release of the new cup motor has been pushed back to "maybe" Oct. It seems that they are having a problem with cracked blocks after 500 to 1000 mile testings.

IN that same interview, I did get the hint that Ray is none to happy with the support he has been getting from Dodge. He carefully chose his words but did sneak out a few zingers in Dodge's direction about how long this is taking.

Rodney Childers, Car Chief for the 19 said yesterday on 128 that he wasn't sure they would have the motor by the end of the season.
They are trying to balance a light weight block with heat and HP. Same problem that Evernham said they were having concerning the cracking.
