After plenty of research, I'm going to have an AT3030XL installed. Thank you Mike (Tanky) for the muffler.

I plan on keeping the stock setup and just swap out mufflers, leaving the rear resonator in place. I know this muffler can be loud, so the two resonators should tame it down some. That's fine by me. Not too interested in killer drone. I asked Gadier about this setup and he thinks it'll be good. Gadier is Mr. Aero Turbine. Wink

I'm not worried about MDS, as that is gone now. Thanks Superchips!

BlackDragonHemi has this setup and he really enjoys it. I'm looking forward to this install. I've always wanted to try an Aero Turbine. It seems to get it's share of positive reviews in the forums. I had a Flow 50HD on my last setup, so this is definitely trying something different. I'll try to post up a video up when it's done. Smiler

You will not be sorry.... thumb2

I just sent you what you'd asked for.....let me know if I need to get you a better version. As you can see not much of noise inside the truck with all windows closed...boy, you and everyone else can tell you are coming/passing when you step on the paddle....that's the way I like it. I like the way it sound when idling outside, very deep sound. When my warranty is over I will get a set of headers and will run another AT3030XL as dual.....oh yea! tonguedrag

BlackDragonHemi,

Thanks for the video. Sounds great! If there is anyway you can do another one, so I can hear idle and without MDS? Smiler

Thanks bud.

SilsHemi,
Video from HoustonHemi pretty much give you what AT3030XL sounds like, without resonator will sound a bit louder and with another rear resonator will give you less noise inside the truck but you still have that deep sound and everyone knows when you get on it....again I love Aero Turbine exhaust, I will definitely use it on any of my vehicles...except for my motorcycle, they don't make one for it.....lol

doh

Jason,

Thank you. That sounds great bud. Nice setup. Smiler

I'm going to try to have it installed tomorrow morning. Just going to swap mufflers for now and keep the rear resonator. If it's too quiet, I can always try it without the rear resonater later.

Listening to BDH's video, with the rear resonator in place, it's going to sound great.

I bought the standard Aero turbine and loved the sound, but it had a rattle and the drone was terrible. The wife has a problem with drone, in that it was causing migraines with her. Then the XL came out a few weeks later, damn it. I took off the Aero turbine and put on a magnaflow. I sounds okay, but not as good as the AT. At least there is little drone with the magnaflow.

Tom,

You liked the sound. Seems a lot of people like the Aero Turbine sound. Smiler

This is a concern of mine. I don't mind a loud exhaust. The Flowmaster on my 04 was dumped and it was loud. It's the drone in the cabin that's aggravating. I'm hoping the XL, with the rear resonator in place, will help eliminate most of it.

Thanks Tom.

The muffler is on. It sounds great! No drone and a nice tone. When you get on it, it screams.

I'll try to get pics up and video up later. Smiler

thumb2 burnout thumb2

Are you using stock resonator also with it? I hear a lot of people complain about drone in their trucks, evidently they are not using AT3030XL.....I think Aero Turbine is one of the best exhaust there is out there. Sounds great and perform very well.....folks know when you step on it ( cop )

congrats

Here's a quick video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z_vZ8-0FdE

If you don't want drone, this is the perfect setup. My muffler guy said he was surprised how mellow it was for a straight through setup. He moved the muffler back under the bed. I was rushing home, so the video quality isn't the greatest. I'll try to get a couple more done later. Wink

No MDS. Disabled via Superchips. Stock resonator in place.
