I am thhinking about putting on a Magnaflow 12570 muffler on my 09 Ram Hemi. I honestly can't see paying $660 (Ebay price) for the entire system when the muffler is $109 shipped. I am leaving my rear resonator on, will this give me better sound and a little better fuel economy? This is a single exhaust truck. I wanted to go with the SIDO muffler but the local shop still wants $300 just to bend a couple pipes.

Another option is to just get the rear resonator cut off and a short tailpipe installed in its place. I don't want glasspack sound, just more than a woosh exhausr note.

Any thoughts? Any systems people have swapped out and want to get rid of that may work with the factory resonator?
