Bought my truck w/ borla SI/DO that ran under the bumper. Sounded great but couldn't stand it inside the cab plus when towing my camper it was deafening. Changed the muffler to a SI/DO Bullet that I had laying in the garage. I didn't even get out of the driveway with that damned thing. Put the Borla back on and changed the tails so they exited infront of the passenger rear tire. Resonance was almost gone but still loud in the cab especially when towing. Changed system out for a custom bent magnaflow 3" SI/SO that ran in the stock location. BAM! resonation is back! Added a 16" glasspack infront of magnaflow. It was a little better but still borderline unbearable. I whacked the tailpipe off and installed a 3" turndown just infront of the axle and couldn't believe it, all the resonation is gone. It's much quieter in the cab than any other setup I've had. I also never realized how loud my K&N FIPK is!! The CAI is 10x's louder in the cab than my exhaust now is. I'm now a believer

Welcome to the club. I have a magnaflow as well, had duals out the back but could barely hear it and hated the way it looked. Save the chrome tips for the ricers in hondas. Hacked those off and dumped it just behind the cab, about halfway between the front of the bed and the rear axle. I love it, and everyone always tells me how sweet it sounds.

Most effective way to get rid of drone. I'm dumped behind the muffler. No drone and sounds great.

First off nice truck and nicer bike. Second, hows it sound when MDS kicks in now? I have the magnaflow 3" SI/SO with no resonators now and I have hardly any resonance in the cab. MDS sounds like barf but it always did and I only shut it off at low speeds in town. I was wondering if the cai had any difference the way it sounds? Its a stretch but .....
Anyway congrats on finding a sound that suits your taste
