I have a Borla stainless cat back split side exhaust. I would like to convert it to a true dual. What would be the best muffler set up?
Do I need DI/DO or 2 separate mufflers? Any advice would help!!! Any particular brand that would be the best? Not looking for real loud, that is why I like the Borla.

I went with a DI/DO Magnaflow muffler #14468. It also has a built in "X" pipe.

Why pay for 2 mufflers and a seperate "H" or "X" pipe, when that muffler has everything.

Personally, I'm going with true duals with 2 50 series Flowmasters (SI/SO) w/ an "H" pipe coming off long tube headers to even the pressure of both sides.

It just doesn't seem like TRUE DUALS if you've only got one... IMHO.

The only thing about this is that you've got to mount both mufflers together on the passenger side, and you've got to mount them vertical rather than flat.

See, this is where it's somehow different for me... Mine don't drone. They sound PERFECT, but I've always had the free flow vs back pressure question...

Those Magnaflow X pipe mufflers are a killer deal, but I just don't like magnaflow on hemis.

If you want a true dual set up then you will have to run 2 mufflers. I put an X pipe in there. I don't know if it actually helps anything but it's in there.
