Since a wideband sensor is suppose to be installed before the cat and around 18" from the closest exhaust port what's the best way to install one on a stock exhaust setup? There is enough room to install a new bung ahead of the stock o2 front sensor (just a couple inches) however this setup would put the wideband about 7-9 from the closest exhaust port. Would this be alright and is it ok to install a wideband so close to the front factory 02? Is there a better solution?

Nevermind...I'm just going to get a TTI long tube setup and no more issue.

if you are going to get a set of the TTI headers I would see if they can add the bung before they are coated for you.. Otherwise if you buy a coated set part of the coating will have to be removed in order to weld on the bung.

BTW I have my wideband installed just before the cat with my Edelbrock mids. has been working fine for over 2 years.

Thanks for the information.

I like the ceramic but will probably end up with just the stainless steel.
