I put a summitt turbo muffler on my old jeep cherokee about 5 years ago and it still sounds and looks new. A major company builds the mufflers for summitt and they have a high quality product as good or better than any brand i have ever used over the last 30 years. They are a high flow muffler. The sound is very deep and mellow. Louder than stock but not as loud as a straight through muffler. I don't know if this is the sound you are wanting but they sell a good product. The price is low but the quality is high.

That may be very true, a lot of companies outsource products, buy in volume and sell at a discount. I believe Kenmore appliances were/are built by Whirlpool. If thats the case then, that's a great deal. Only problem is sometimes you just cant tell. If you call summit they might even tell you who builds their mufflers. I think I would try to salvage the FM first, but like I said thats up to you bro.
