I just purchased a stock 03' hemi QC. I've been reading info on this site for some time now and I'm finally making my first post. I'm not planning on doing too many mods, but I know I want an exhaust upgrade. After a lot of research and listening to videos on youtube, I KNOW I want the at3030, but they only offer it SI/SO. I really would like to run split dual pipes out the back behind each rear tire. My question is if I put something resembling a y pipe coming out of the muffler to run dual pipes out the back, will it affect the performance or sound. Anybody done anything close to this. Thanks in advance for your response.

Welcome aboard miller - we're glad you joined us!
I think you would be the first to run a "Y" pipe of sorts to enable duals from a SI/SO muffler. Can't say what the sound would be like, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt the performance. Give it a shot!

Thanks for your quick responses. I was also throwing around the idea of running a single 3' pipe out of the at3030 and exiting it in front of the rear wheel. I was told however that I would lose significant low end torque by doing this. Anybody have any comments or experiences with this setup?

howdy I don't think it would being it's 3" after the muffler and not befor alot of us just dump with turn downs after the muffler and I haven't noticed any loss of any low end torque. I say go for it thumb2

Thanks again for your guy's input. If anybody else has used this muffler, feel free to respond with your experience with the muffler and setup. Any opinions or advice is much appreciated. I know I want this muffler, I'm just really struggling trying to decide on which setup to go with. Thanks again.

Welcome to the HTC, miller. You won't lose any torque with that single 3" exit. The y-pipe after the muffler probably won't hurt anything, either, as long as you run the right size tubing after the y-pipe to maintain exhaust gas velocity (dual 2.25" or 2.5" pipes will work fine - just don't go dual 3").
