So, I got the AT3030XL on and wasn't overly thrilled. Made a call back to Aero and they promptly sent me an AR30 resonator. Got that installed 2 days ago and been driving around to get a taste of it.

In all honesty, not sure I'll find the happiness level I want. The MDS still drives me up the damn wall everytime it engages, but its more tolerable than ever. Its still quiet loud, believe it or not, over stock. The driving, accelerating, etc is not at all bad...gives off a nice deep rumble thats not overly loud and is more 'neighbor' friendly not to mention 'passenger' friendly.
The problem I'm still having is the MDS cycling. Not sure why Dodge sucks so damn bad. As I've stated before, I have friends with the Chevy's and 4 cyl deactivation w/o this kind of sound. It is more tolerable and less harsh sounding now, but I'm assuming due to the dumping, everytime it hits MDS, it vibrates the cab. You can feel the MDS in the seat.
All in all, I think I can deal with the sound now, but its still not exactly what I'd enjoy of a nice sounding truck. Its ok...per se...but the MDS just ruins it all. the "broke heuy helo' sound I've used in the past is more like an older 2.8L Chevy with an exhaust placed in 5th gear doing 10-20mph. Just a weird sound. It truly sounds like the truck is in 5th gear doing 10mpg or something lol.

As I said, it seems to be better. My first gas refill was 13.5mpg, so .5 better. I'm at half tank now and the overhead is reading between 14.8 and 15.4. So, we'll see. All in all I think I can deal with this. I might...MIGHT...try to run the exhaust on out the back like stock (3") and see how it sounds.

i don't know why nobody with the MDS drone problem ever tried the "quarter wave tube" it killed 95% of the drone on my AT3030XL using a 3" tail pipe making it sound like a Infinity G35 only 10 times louder it was a very pleasant sound, only not loud enough to me

Tanky, how much would you say it cut back on the mds? 30% quieter...? I guess im more concern of the level of the sound especially with the freeway noise it has at 2300 rpms or so, since I am soon getting my gears installed.

Around town you can put it in tow/haul mode and the mds won't come on. Milage may suffer .5 or so depending on how you drive.

I think the sound is roughly 15-25% better. Let me explain...the AR30 is only 12" long IF THAT...its tiny...and the sound of the truck is still definitely there. Its not as loud on the outside but you can most definitely tell I have a HEMI under the hood, especially went on it. With the MDS, I would say its more tolerable, not so much quieter. Sure, its less harsh sounding and a little quieter, but the sound isn't so harsh to my ears to hear. At freeway speeds, its not bad at all.
All in all I'd say it helped a good bit. I just don't like the rumbly MDS sound in my cab...vibrates and sounds harsh there. Think I'm going to take people's advice and throw a 3" tailpipe out the back.

No offense Bill, but I'm still in "break-in" mode and the truck is drinking enough as it is. .5 to me is a big deal atm. My overhead has dropped now to 14.7. We'll see how it is on refill.

I am happy with mine, AT3030XL with stock resonator and stock 3" pipe in the original spot...sounds exactly what I was looking for. Once you pass break-in point you will gain a bit more gas mileage...another .5 or so. I get about 20-22 MPG on the freeway. I am going to install MDS light I found from one of the post....when I find a spot I like for that light.

IF AND WHEN DIABLOSPORT EVER COMES OUT WITH THEIR TUNER FOR THE DR HEMI IT IS ADVERTISED TO HAVE A MDS DELETE WHICH WILL MAKE A LOT OF US HEMI OWNERS HAPPY. IF I WANTED A 4 CYLINDER RAM I WOULD HAVE LOOKED FOR A USED D50.
