Why not gut the cat? Then you look legal and get the same flow as a straight pipe. You will need an O2 sim from Duane to keep from throwing a code.

Mods...what mods??

I run my truck with no cats and as far as the code you will get a check engine light but its no big deal to me. It sounds great and really opened the truck up.

yeah the truck should have 2 cats gottahemi. to keep from throwing codes i'd get 2 O2 sims (one for each side). i really want to open mine up like you but i dont want what i stated earlier to happen. has anybody had any trouble w/o having cats from the law or dodge? depending on the state you have to pass emssions tests but if your state doesnt have that, like arkansas for example, then you dont have to worry about it.

I run with no cats, I have one o2 sim on each side, I throw a code every now and then about the cat on the passenger side bein inefficient. I think I need to get another o2 sim. Flows better with no cats.

You can get o2 sims here:

Cut the cats off, take a small piece of pipe, hammer it through the cat to break up all the "honeycombs", then weld it back to the pipe. You might still throw a code but at least you'll appear legal. It will be LOUD. Like you'll wake the dead loud. With my cut outs open I can only handle it around the block. It's too much.
