THOUSANDS OF MILLIONAIRES LEAVE NY!

More evidence that conservatives ALWAYS get it right. Last year when New York governor David Patterson jacked up taxes on the state's wealthiest, the state's wealthiest changed states! Actually, they've been doing so over the last eight years as tax increase after tax increase has gone into effect.

Conservatives were yelling and screaming "THAT WON'T WORK"! We told them that if you raise taxes on the rich, the rich will go to places with fewer taxes. Liberals as usual ignored us and told us to shut up. They said, "no, they won't leave, they'll threaten to leave but in the end they'll stay and pay."

Well, now it has happened. A study out today shows that thousands of New Yorkers wealthiest have left the state and there is now a much smaller base of wealthy people to draw taxes from. And the state's finances are in the dumps. This is EXACTLY what conservatives knew would happen.

So, let me ask my liberal friends something. My liberal friends who consider themselves to be so scientific. Science is about looking at the data and making decisions based on it and it alone. Science is about leaving emotions aside.

In this case, the data consistently says that conservatives make more accurate predictions than liberals. This shows that conservatives have a better understanding of reality. (You can't be right so often if your understanding of reality is fundamentally flawed). So, doesn't that make you kind of wish you could switch sides? Don't you want to be on the winning side? The side that gets it right more often than not?

Were you on the side that believed the rich wouldn't mind paying higher taxes? Are you on the side that believed they wouldn't up and move? If so, the data shows that you were on the wrong side. You were on the side that got it wrong.

If your ideology almost always gets it wrong, and the other guy's almost always gets it right, wouldn't you want to be on the side that most often gets it right?

This is from recent memory only but the figure that has been thrown around says: about 44,432 give or take one or two NY residents pay 40% of the total tax bill for the remainder of the 9 million people living in the big apple.
As a side note - we continue to welcome them to Texas. HemiFun05.

They hardly ever show up at all any more... I think they've began to see the error of their ways.

Democrats tell us they've been trying to nationalize health care for 65 years, but the first anyone heard of the "opt out" provision was about a week ago. They keep changing the language so people can't figure out what's going on.

The most important fact about the "opt out" scheme allegedly allowing states to decline government health insurance is that a state can't "opt out" of paying for it. All 50 states will pay for it. A state legislature can only opt out of allowing its own citizens to receive the benefits of a federal program they're paying for.

It's like a movie theater offering a "money back guarantee" and then explaining, you don't get your money back, but you don't have to stay and watch the movie if you don't like it. That's not what most people are thinking when they hear the words "opt out." The term more likely to come to mind is "scam."

I remember when the Gov't place an exorbitant luxury tax on large boats, (yacht's) which damn near put them out of business. The wealthy decided they didn't need the boats. After the tax was eliminated, they started buys boats again. That was an exercise in futility and shows that politicians don't understand its citizens. If you place higher taxes on the wealthy, they move to other states or out of the country. How the hell do you think they got rich! The wealthy control us, no doubt about that. It sucks, but that is the way it is.

Now that SC has the Boeing 787 dreamliner contract our union reps in Washington "all of a sudden" said they were ready to settle on a 10 year no strike contract. Unions are just retarded and get all of the bad things they deserve. Screw them. Germany, Briton and France are going conservative and are lowing their capital gains taxes to keep and create businesses. NOT THE USA. We're going just the opposite direction due to this frikkin loser community organizing fool of a president we have.

I think MEAD makes a much better organizer, and you can get them in a wide array of colors, not just the one that's supposed to relieve guilty feelings.
