I remember the days where Edwards USED his wife's cancer to get sympathy from the voters all the while he was screwing another women. Are democrats without morals or do people vote for them because "they are weak just like us" kind of thing?

you know i honestly think that most of the people, in the beginning of their political careers are good honest people but its the nature of the beast to be a lying, cheating, selfish asshole....all of us citizens who seems to have more of a clue what to do than them, i wonder if we'd fall under the same spell..who knows...congress and politics is like a cult haha

- Roosevelt had an affair.

- Kennedy (both John and Ted) had affairs. One while in the White House the other causing the death of a young woman.

- Gary Hart had affairs.

- Bill Clinton has had numerous affairs.

- And Now John Edwards (really sick in that his wife had cancer at the time.)



Are they really that stupid to think the public won't find out? The Democratic party today dodged a big one. What if Edwards had been the nominee or had been picked as the Veep candidate?

Elizabeth Edwards is scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the Dem convention.

I heard this story last Monday. Do you think it's any coincidence that the story didn't get the attention of the rest of the media and get published until a Friday and it so happens to be the day the Oly starts? No flippin way.

If you can't trust a man/woman to respect the person that they supposedly love more than life itself, how can you trust them to run the country.

The only other thing that needs to be pointed out here is the story says this happened in 2006. Just 2 weeks ago the National Inquirer caught him coming out of her hotel room late at night. So all this crap of how sorry he was to Elizabeth and GOD,,, is just total BS.

This kind of stuff just convinces more and more that the only reason these people get elected to any office at the National or State level is because of money. I truly believe we elect the wrong people becuase the right people can't afford to run. All to often someone having a lot of money is associated with being smart and able to run a company means they can run a country.

I can't help but wonder if we are selling our country short by allowing this campaign spending to go on. Are we getting the right person for the job. I don't think so.

Morality has become a big issue for all people, not just politicians. Democrats and Republicans are guilty of immoral acts as has the general public. What do you expect with all the sexy TV programs that are on the air. Of course this is not a today thing, it has been going on since Adam an Eve. Morality in the USA is based on religious teaching and rules. Some countries allow open sexual behavior. It was wrong for him to do that, but that does not reduce his ability to be a good leader.

Bud, the only way to be a succesful leader is to lead by example.

Why do you think politicians go out of their way to discredit each other? People srtill believe a leader should be of high moral standards. People still don't get why most of the military that Pres Clinton was a rat bastard. He was firing Generals and Admirals for having affairs.

Now that John Edwards has admitted to his affair with "filmmaker" Rielle Hunter, we decided to take a better look at the "Webisodes" she made about him for his failed presidential campaign.

Each one uses a theme song at its end by Boyd Tinsley of the Dave Matthews Band. The song is called "True Reflections." It would seem that Edwards and his staff never listened to the lyrics. It's as damning a choice as Hunter could have selected.

The first verse says it all:

When you look into a mirror

Do you like what's looking at you?

Now that you've seen your true reflections

What on earth are you gonna do?

That doesn't sound like a song endorsing the person it's describing. It's an indictment. It's unclear when Hunter put this music on the film.
