I removed my center seat/console to take some measurements to build a center console box. However, I noticed this small black plastic cover and when I removed it theres a little module under there that has to do with the airbag. I was wondering if anyone has seen this and it is safe for a downfiring subwoofer to be vibrating this? Also, does anyone know if you can maybe move it a little bit to the side? Any information you can provide is appreciated. I think it is only on the new trucks. Mine's an 07 quad cab.

I've heard of it. My '05 didn't have it. If it was me, I wouldn't worry about it and put a sub there anyway. Big Grin Just have to make sure you have enough room for the woofer excursion. Other than that, I say go for it.

Yeah I agree. Worst case scenario if it messes it up I just take the sub out and take the truck in for "warranty" work lol. I'll be like I dont know what happened.....

FYI for anyone else wanting to know about this. I read on another forum that you can unbolt it and slide it forward or to the side so that you have the extra clearance for the sub to move. I'm going to carefully try this and see how it goes. Apparently, it the wires are long enough for it to move.
