I'm a new member; and you guys are very insightful about the ram. I have an 04 QC/ Pioneer H/U Alpine speakers in the doors and 10" fox box in the rear. Now whats the easiest way for me to run the 4 gauge wire through the fire wall. Thanks in advance

cut the straight piece out of a coat hanger and sharpen the end (i just cut it with side cutters at a steep angle so i wouldn't have to grind a point) then tape the wire to it. use the sharp point to poke it through the steering boot go arround to the other side and pull everything through. you'll have to tug a bit when you get to where the power wire is taped to the hanger but it's no problem. be sure to tie the wire out of the way so it dosn't get wrapped up in the steering.

howdy Not sure where you are planning to put your amp, but I would run the wire through the closest grommet/opening to the amp that I could. There are several knock out plugs in the bottom of the cab you can use if you don't want to go through the firewall.

So what have we learned in 2 millennia?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. I suggest HIGHLY, going through the place where the clutch would go, its a clear and clean pass through, drill a hole and you dont have to worry about being in a spot to have wear on the insulation and is very tucked away under the dash, easy to run and get to being almost behind the brake booster and keeps a very clean and safe install! I do agree with Duane here with the grommets but you do have to be careful with attaching it along the frame!

I followed your advice about pushing the wire through the grommet and it worked out perfectly. I was just nervous about doing this for the first time. Thanks for the replies.

Glad you got the 4 ga. through the firewall. I can't go that route with mine. I am using 1/0 ga., so mine is ran along the frame rail.
