Just picked up a 2006 Quad Cab Ram w/Hemi, Lone Star Edition. How can I tell if I have the 4 or 7 speaker setup?? Also, how would I get to the front dash speakers to replace/install?? One more, if I don't have the 7 speakers, will the wiring still be run to the dash or will I need to do it??
TIA

Mine is a 04 but shouldn't be much different, you lift the dash cover up off the tabs and then pull away from the windshield . as for the 7 or 4 setup you will see, if the speakers are there it's the 7, if not you are a lucky guy cause you don't have to remove them just install new ones Big Grin if you have to rewire the dash its the easyest part to do

are you upgrading the Head unit or just adding the dash speakers?

Well, right now I might just install speakers and wait on the head unit. Should I just wait until I decide to change the head unit??

Yes, it will be easier to tap in to the aftermarket radio harness than in to the factory one, i recommend using a small external amplifier for the front stage (dash) and use the head unit outputs for the doors.
