I have the Kicker 3.5" dash speakers to install, but I have the base audio. Since I have a regular cab the back door speaker outputs aren't being used. Can I connect my 3.5" dash speakers to those unused outputs with no problems? I know I can splice them in to my front door speaker wires, but using the unused outputs seems like a better choice. Any thoughts?

There would be no problems with that. I would suggest putting a little capacitor inline on the + terminal to cut a little bass out of them. That will help them live longer. I can't remember what value the one I used is but it cuts everything from 150hZ and lower out of them. Also make sure you have the polarity correct on the wires, if they are out of phase with the door speakers it may sound funny.

I found a frequency crossover chart for 8 ohm, 4 ohm, and 2 ohm speakers.

I want to get something like the Black Gate N series non-polarized 470 microfarad audio coupling capacitors. However, Black Gate went out of production and is hard to find...expensive when you do find. Anyone know of an equivalent capacitor?

I don't know of a comparable model on the high end side anyways.

Parts Express has non-polarized electrolytics. I'm going to try the 250 microfarad. The crossover with that on a 4 ohm speaker is 159 Hz.
