My right front door speaker is rattling/buzzing unless I turn the bass off. It's at the dealer now,and they are replacing both 6X9's per Dodge TSB. (Edited 3-10-08)

Second thing: What would be involved with replacing the factory stereo with an aftermarket Kenwood head unit that is also Sirius ready? Will it work,or do I need to use Kenwood's add-on Sirius receiver?

My '05 had a speaker that rattled, and I took it to the dealer and they replaced it for free.

You would need a new wiring harness, H/U mounting kit, and a Kenwood Sirius receiver as your factory Sirius radio won't work on an aftermarket H/U

If you're handy with rewiring things, then you can use the factory Sirius tuner. Did it on my '02 and saved $100 plus activation fees.

What about info on the display and stuff? My stock radio won't give me crap but the channel number, which I simply hate. My Kenwood has a more elaborate display, and would probably show everything. I am handy with wiring, but I need pinouts for the stock tuner, which I'm unlikely to find.

The factory Sirius tuner provides: channel, artist and song information. You say you don't get that on your stock radio? I'll assume you have the single CD player versus the six-CD head unit. The single CD unit doesn't show squat. Here's the pinout for the factory SDARS tuner.

wire 1: Dark Green/Orange = left audio (+)
wire 4: Black = power ground (-)
wire 6: Gray/Red = power positive (+)
wire 7: Dark Green/Yellow = right audio (+)
wire 8: Dark Green = audio ground (-)
wire 11: White/Orange = data (+)
wire 12: White = data (-)

Thank you very much!!

Do you know if data + and - are standard for all Sirius tuners and head units? Wonder if data - is just another ground? I want to install a Kenwood EZ-500 receiver, and if it has the same data lines,it should work. I should be able to download the schematic for the Kenwood H/U.

Yes,I do have the single CD system.

Do you know all the wire colors? what about the rear speakers? Can we tap into the - and + and hook that up to a Kenwood radio? They have the round plug.

What year is that for? On my 07 I only have three wires.
