This is more of a general question than anything else. I have a JL 300/4 amp under my driver's seat right now. I have a JL 150/1 amp that I am going to put behind my back seat, along with moving the 4 channel amp. The 150/1 will be powering a JBL/MOMO 12" Sub. There is 4-ga wire run to the driver's seat right now. I found the rest of the wire from the original kit, which will be more than enough to extend from the seat to the back, but not enough to start over from the battery. Is it possible to splice the power wire together with out too much power degradation? I wouldn't normally cheap out like this, but I am out of work, so looking for inexpensive (read: free) mods, etc to do when I'm not looking for a job.

i don't see why not, i would choose a solder joint rather than a crimp splice though. just be sure to heat shrink it good though

Would an additional inline fuse work?
