going to the local (less than a mile away) 1/8th mile tomorrow evening....
A couple buddies are coming along as well. The competition: #1: 95 Impala SS (big body, LT1)(long time rival of mine, yet i helped him with his mods  ) His Mods: 280hp/330tq stock Tri-Y coated headers Magnaflow Highflow cats Full Dynomax mandrel bent exhaust w/X pipe PCM Flash (dyno tuned) Ram Air Intake full hotchkis suspension mod Stock Motor/Heads and an "undisclosed" new mod (not NOS knowing him) drag race experience: 6 (scale of 1-10) Previous track time: 9.4s (65* weather, when he edged out my 04 CTD by .06 seconds) sample image  #2: 2006 VW GLI (4dr Jetta, Ricer, yet sophisticated)  BONE STOCK 200hp/207tq stock Turbo Standard Shift BONE STOCK drag race experience: 2 (scale of 1-10) Previous track time: N/A ("should" be in the 9.5's, depends on launch) Sample image  The "catch" My track car tomorrow.... 2006 Magnum R/T (the wife's new ride) 350hp/390tq (R/T package) Stock Full Magnaflow Exhaust Pulling fuse #11 (disables traction control, and turns down TM) otherwise BONE STOCK Drag race experience: 6 (scale of 1-10) actual image  Tempatures will be in the upper 90s (not a good day for a baseline on the Mag) but should get down to the mid 80's towards the end of the night. This could be close, with either one.... the SS has good hole shots, yet is down on HP up top, while the Jetta is hard to dig consistently, it has HUGE power (to weight ratio) up top..... from everything i have been reading, the Mag R/T "should" be around the 9.4's stock, so we'll see.
