Yall might have seen some of my other posts but my roommate and I work at the same place and we usually race on the way home. He's got a bone stock V6 2008 charger. It's usually a pretty close race from a 70 MPH roll but I usually steadily but slowly pull away and I usually hit 115 like nothing and that's where my speed limiter is set to so I usually just let off once I top out.
So last night we decided to do another 70+ highway run. I started pulling away until about 105 and then he was slowly gaining on me. I started watching my speedo and it topped out at 112 and would not climb any higher. I was only at like 4500 RPMS and it usually hits 115 like nothing. I let off after I ralized it wasn't climbing any more. We slowed back then and I tried to race him again but I guess I was going too fast and it wouldn't downshift to second and at 70 in 3rd gear it's a dog so I just let off. It runs great, Still feels as fast as it ever has but it just wouldn't go any faster. Any clues to whats goin on? It was kind of embarrassing. My roommate's been in my truck since I first got it, he knows it's a lot faster than his Charger but last night he almost had me. We ended up at a light after that so we ran from a stop for the first time. I didn't even launch it and I let off at about 60 and had him by about a car or 2. you could try the key trick ,just turn the key to the starting postion and hold,but your gauges will go out and your hanging on to the wheel with one hand

Can't you set it higher than 115? Mine is set to 140.

Yeah, I can set it higher but I don't want to. haha That's fast enough.
I just got home and tried it again. It pulls hard until 112 at about 4700 RPMS. It's definitely hitting the limiter. I wonder why, I've always been able to do a solid 115. Even my Edge pod showed my top speed of 115. Maybe since I changed some stuff on my Diablo not too long ago I lowered it. Check your programmer. Speedo could be off a hair too. 3mph is a small gap on the speedo.
