Did a little organized racing in uhhh "Mexico" this past friday night. Rules were one run from a dig and one run from a 20mph roll. First up was the new 2010 6 Speed Camaro SS stock. Killed him from a dig was WAY back there by 100mph the 20mph roll I was able to bump it down to first gear which at 20mph puts me at 4000rpms which is great for me i'm in my power band, we hit it and he's with me until mid 2nd gear I pull on him pretty good and by 60 he gives up and pulls in behind me. Next up was a tuned, intake, exhaust 6.0 GTO pretty much the same from a dig bad kill for me, the 20 roll was pretty good didnt pull much on him to 100 but did come out ahead. Last the supercharged Mach One, this was the easiest the dig run I gave up at 80 he was so far back was not worth it to keep going, the 20 roll same thing.

My new Motortrend puts the Camaro SS at 12.9 stock. Hope the Challengers break into that with a 6 speed. I hate Chevy. Glad to see you took them. Surprised the Mach One was that big of an upset. I know a guy that had a 03/04 Mach 1 and it ran a 13.1 stock, which surprised me. That guy must be a bad driver.

Better watch out for the policia! Good kills. Theres quit a few ss's around hear with cams already. Few v6s too. Those are funny to watch. Camarao hauls ass by but sounds like a nissan.lol

yea i was watching a show on tv where they were testing all the new camaros and the ss went 12.9 and they raced it against a mustang gt500 which the camaro couldnt touch. and the v6 ran a 14.1 which i was impressed becasue thats pretty fast for a v6 car

Yeah no way a 03/04 Mach One ran a 13.1 stock unless the DA was like minus 1000 the only diff between them and the GT is a silly airbox/functional hood. The guy I raced did run a 12.9 at the track Saturday where I was running 12.6's at another track.

I thought the GTs were single overhead cam and the cobras and mach 1's were both dual overhead.

ALL "current" V8 mustangs are twin overhead cam 4.6L modular. All GTs are N/A, Cobra's are now supercharged starting in 05 or 06, and the Mach1 must have an aftermarket "cobra" supercharger upgrade. I didnt think any of them came OEM supercharged.

Nice kills Wade. Red Rock is running nice.... and i havent heard anything else about the "Vader edition" GCSRT you got.. whats the plan there?

Vader was sold when things slowed down at work. Yeah the 03 Mach one was NA it came with a functional Ram Air hood and was touted to be 305HP and most of them ran 13.8-14.1 at the track stock.

I saw one of the new Camaros on the street here and wasn't impressed at all. A few months back I came up to a light and noticed this car in front of the F-150 next to me. I was looking at the rear thinking someone had modified a Challenger in a very bad way. It was hideous. The light turns green and he tears off, then the car in front of me gets on it. It turns out the car in front of me was a mid-90's Z-28 and he was admiring what turned out to be a new Camaro. I don't know if it was the SS. The Camaro had duals exiting through the rear valance and what looked like 20's. At the next light the Z-28 was ready. It turns green and the Camaro hooks and goes. The Z-28 dusted off his tires through first, them hooked in second and reeled the Camaro right in. I have seen some very fast Z-28s around here and this wasn't one of them. This thing was a $3000 pos at best. It had one exhaust pipe hanging lower than the other and shaking, different brand tires on the front and rear, no rumble to the exhaust and had smoke coming from under the ds front wheel well when they stopped at the third light. I couldn't stop laughing.
