Goodyear Wrangler AT/S,$730.00 installed. Love the tread and the lifespan promises to be pretty good,but the jury is out on the ride,until I check/adjust pressures. It does hop pretty bad on big bumps,which it never did before,but this tire has stiff sidewalls,load range E. Now I need to make sure I don't park my front tires on grass,or else I'll tear my yard up.

These should lift you up a fair amount too I would imagine. Maybe what .5" or so.

They do lift half an inch! I read the reviews for this tire on Tirerack.com,and it gets a good score,but for a handful of people it's the worst tire ever made. Others swear by it. Nothing new there.
As far as tread life,60,000 miles aren't uncommon. But they ride like it. First hard tire I've ever had from Goodyear! My buddy has those on his F350 Super Duty with the Powerstroke motor.
He's at 26,000 miles and may get up to 35,000 with them. Same tire, E rated, but it's a big heavy truck with a 8-10K trailer attached most days. He's really happy with them, came stock, and is looking to buy another set when it's time. Especially at the price point. I'd like to get them, but I'm afraid it would kill the small amount of HP/TQ I have now. Riley 2007 Silver 1500 Big Horn SLT, QC, SB, 4x4, 5AT, 3:92 Machined 20" wheels. Stock, for now. |
