I was wondering if a 10 ply tire would ride a lot rougher than just your standard tire? I am wanting to go with a 34" tire and the ones that I am looking at are 275/65/20 Toyo Open Country AT. Just wondering about the ride. Any suggestions?

There will be a noticeable difference in ride quality going to a 10-ply tire.
It just depends how bad you want that tire size and what you are willing to put up with in order to get it. 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee HEMI http://artisan-contracting.com/index.html http://www.blex.com/index.php |

I don't want it that bad! Just mostly for looks. I just ordered Bilstein shocks to improve the ride, so I don't want to get tires that make it worse.

I had 10 plys on my 04 and thought they rode very nice. People I took with me also commented on how well the truck rode. I put on a set of 'inexpensive' tires to get me through last winter and was bouncing all over the road. Put the 10 plys back on and wow what a difference. Had 265 70 17 Cooper HT tires. They had a 60k warranty too boot! I can't wait till these new ones wear out on my 09 so i can go back to the 10 ply.
