Hey ya'll! I got another question for ya. Can anyone explain to me what that tow/haul button on my shifter actually does? Thanks for the advise.

Is this the answer?

Tow/Haul locks out 5th gear
OD/Off locks out 4th and 5th

Not sure if O/D knocks out 4th... I don't believe it drops that far.

As far as Superchips - I believe the programmer just tightens the 1-2, 2-3 shifts.

Hopefully someone else will help out here - my '03 just had the O/D on-off... no "tow/haul" option Frowner

Yes, that is correct.

Tow/Haul also holds gears longer on upshifts, doesn't let the torque converter lock/unlock so much, and will downshift when braking to aid in slowing down the truck.

tow/haul will get you up to 4th and thats it...Gar is correct about holding the shifts longer....espically 2nd and 3rd....i have to get above 50MPH for a few minutes before it will shift into 4th....i use tow/haul to keep the truck from going into MDS mode...
