Have an 05 Hemi with 62,000 on it. The water pump is leaking from top of pump right under the thermostat housing. There is a small valley
underneath the thermostat that keeps fill up with antifreeze when the engine sits over night?
I checked the thermostat housing but it was
good.
I also retightened the pump bolts but it still leaking.
Finally I put a piece of paper underneath the thermostat housing to make sure but it still made a puddle without getting the paper wet??
Sorry so long, Just wanted to let you know what I tried before I replace the pump I guess????

damn i thought i was the only one that blew up my pump, its not leaking thats the weep hole bleeding off. More than likely your pump impeller split in half. Buy a new water pump from Dodge its in expensive, and get yourself a new thermostat, most likely the seal around the thermostat housing blew off. have you ever heard it gurgling or smelt coolant after driving. Mine went pretty suddenly, its s pretty rare thing at least when i worked at dodge.

I only heard it gurgling one time then it stopped.
My temp gauge always stays about halfway.
I never seen a pump do this before.
I think your right, it's time for a new pump and thermostat.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does one of these water pumps cost? Is there a source other than the dealership?
