here comes winter again my truck just turned 26000 miles and the stock goodyears suck in the rain lately so i imagine snow will be impossible with these junks. Sad part is is that there is still a good bit of tread left but wet weather handling is scary .
With that being said i just ordered some cooper discoverer ATR's for my jeep. These tires are awesome on my father-in-laws ridgeline. Unfortunatly they don't make 275 60 20's in the atr's.
Now i can't seem to decide on zeons or discoverer htr plus's for the truck. It's gonna be 820 installed for zeons and 510 for ht plus. My question is if it's worth the extra $$$ for the zeons or will the more cost effective ht + 's work good enough in the snow and still retain a quiet ride and my decent mpg's. The price difference is substantial which is making me think the ht's are gonna be waay better than the good for a years which never were to bad until recently.
Any reviews, experiences or advice is greatly appreciated. I really like the looks of the zeons just not sure if i need that since i'm always on the pavement except in hunting season

i have the ht pluses, similar to stock tires except way better in rain and snow. imo, go with them since you spend most of your time on the road

thanks for the pics, glad to hear they're better in the wet stuff cuz these stockers suck. I'm really leaning towards these now.

I think the ht + would've been just fine and if i didn't find that deal for the zeons i wouldve just got the +'s instead. zeons weren't worth an extra couple hundred over the +'s for me but since i found the zeons for only a buck fifty more i said why not
