I want to get some black steel wheels for my otherwise stock 03 reg cab 4x4 Hemi.
Stock wheels are silver painted 17" approx 8" wide, backspace approx 5" (wheels are stamped 01747U)

I'm considering Allied Wheel (AWC)#5178055 which are:
17 x 8"
5 x 5.5 bolt
offset +12mm
Backspace 5"

There's no local dealer so I'll have to get them mail order, and I'd hate to spend the $$ to return them if there are caliper interference issues.

Anybody got an opinion?

I would ask the d tire dealer that you atr considering buying them from. I would ask by e-mail so that you have a record of what they say. That way you have a come back if they say they fit and they don't.
