I have an 04 hemi ram reg cab short bed with the 17" chrome clad steel wheels. I can't afford new wheels right now and I need some new tires. I want to run a tire that is close in height to my stock 245/70 but a little wider. I just don't have enough tire in contact with the ground for the power I am sending to them. I have 3.55's with an open diff. I don't want tires that rub a lot but something wider would be great. Suggestions?

I went with a 275/60/17. I don't believe it is that much shorter than the 245/70/17's. Maybe .2"?(a quarter inch). If you are stock height,you will have zero rubbing issues as I have a 2/4 drop and have not rubbed yet.

Just put 275 60 17 Toyos on my 04 a couple months ago. Very satisfied.
