im thinking of putting 26's on this truck, i had some on my f-150 and they fit with just a little trimming of the wheel well and removing the rear bumpstops. what has to be done to get a clean ride on a 2wd 1500? a friend of mine has a '05 2500 with 24's and 34" a/t's. he said he had to put wheel spacers to get proper clearance. but his still rub like carp.

Not sure if he's on here or not. But there was a guy on Dodge Talk from time to time named Alvin M. He had a 2/4 drop on some 26"s, looked sick. Then he got new 26s with paint matched centers.

Offset/width and tire size all come into play with big wheels and drops. But it can be done if you do your homework. Here's a pic of Alvins truck with the drop and 26"s.

That is pretty sick looking! Guess that answers your question. I figured they would fit. My neighbor has 24's on his 300 and they fit.

You gotta realize it's just the look and style that someone is after. I know people that have spent 4k plus on lifts and powder coating then an easy 2 grand more on some big ass Mud tires and wheels. Then these vehicles don;t even go offroad and if they do its to run around in slippery mud because anything else would cause them to roll.

Just like when a buddy I knew in HS spent about 3k on his Mazda pick up to put hydros and wire wheels on it. LOL Hey it was the look he wanted. Smiler

Man I lost count (12 grand since Jan 04) on all the mods I put on my truck. Most of them are just for appearance not performance. I guess it is just a personal taste.

I love the look of trucks with big rims with some sidewall and a slight lift. Just don't expect to beat anybody in a race.

actually I wish someone would rep the SRT 10 rims in 24's I think the 22's are a little too small for our trucks
