I own a Dodge Ram 1500 HEMi 5.7 Night Runner 2006.40,000 miles
Recently I have had a Airbag Light come on beep and go off, and sometimes it stays on,and off. Then there are times, it doesn't come on on trips. Then there are times, it does, and beep and goes on and off.

There are no codes coming up.I have reset my PCM.

Anyone know of what is happening or what to look for, when troubleshooting this.

Called a Dodge Dealer, no recalls for Rams 2006.Somewhere in the truck is the Airbag computer, I hear there is a separate puter for just air bags. I wonder if there is a way to reset it, was hoping my SCT tuner could reset it.

Rob only the dealer can do a SRS diagnostics check. There is no way for us to access the airbag module unit.

Should stil be covered under warranty, I would check with your dealer to be sure.

my airbag light has been on for almost 3 years because of the drivers side seatbelt pre-tensioner, it's been replaced but that light just refuses to go out.

i thought i screwed up my airbags after i installed my aftermatket radio this winter, and then when i got my truck out in the spring i was checking it out and the plug for the little key switch to turn passenger side airbag was unplugged, and that made my light come on.

the spindles in the mcgaughey's kit work in both applications and no modifications are needed for it to work in a 4 wheel drive truck. the spindles are sold as a '2 wheel drive only' part for liability issues. there were too many people dropping the front of their 4x4's 2 inches with the spindles and then another 2 or 3 inches with torsion keys, which puts the axle shafts and cv joints at angles they just aren't designed to handle and they get destroyed in a hurry. therefore, by selling them as a 2 wheel drive only part, if you go and use them together with torsion keys and wreck your front driveline, you can't blame them because you were using their parts in an application that they aren't meant to be used in. make sense?

the spindles work fine in a 4x4, i have had mine in for a year with no problems. when i initially bought the kit and it got to my house i opened up the spindles and noticed the instructions and such saying that they are for 2 wheel drive ONLY, so i called mcgaughey's and they are the ones who told me that they are a 2/4 wheel drive part but are sold as 2 wheel drive ONLY so people who drop their 4x4's excessively can't try and point the finger at them saying it's mcgaughey's fault that their front driveshafts fell apart. 2 inches is a safe front drop on a 4x4, but any lower and you're gonna have problems. i have about 30k lowered miles on my truck and the front driveline is completely fine.

Wonder if you could give me some help or advice...I saw the list of mods on your truck, I recently put in the xfi 268 with springs. I had to send my computer to B&G Performance in Michigan. They set it to run and idle but shift points and rev limits aren't what I want. My superchip wont read the nonstock computer. Anything I can do?

either get b&g to redo it and do what you like, or get your pcm reflashed at the dealership and start from scratch with the superchips. superchips is fine for running that cam.

Rob your issue may be with the seat position sensors. The sensors tell the airbags how much to expand. Unplugging the switch, removing a seat or unpluging the seat wiring harness could have done it. I Have a 06 NightRunner QC. When I swithced out my stock seats for SRT seats it lit the airbag light up. The seats have to be recalibrated. The tech will interface with the computer and put weights on the seats to calibrate them.
