I took the truck into our car clubs dyno day. I had noticed the truck surging during hard acceleration and it showed on dyno day. First visit dealer "couldn't duplicate the problem". Second time he changed the EGR valve. Still acts the same. Fuel grade seems to have no effect. Any one else have this issue? 2007 4X4 QC Hemi.....Canadian truck if that makes any difference. Thanks Marv

My '08 surges when I get my foot into it.. I talked to the dealer and they dismissed it as saying the computer was adjusting air mixture. It's really annoying though.

I have the same thing on mine, I am hoping that the Superchips will change that. Ill keep you posted, but 05 hemi auto qc same thing, but its not at full throttle, mine is part throttle adjustments, It dosent act like a miss, just you can feel it very minorly.

Update....truck now has almost 25,000 Kms and seems to be OK. Surging disappeared somewhere around 21-22000 kms. No idea why......

If it doesn't have a HEMI, is it really a truck?

Truck is 100% stock at this point. Normal 5.7 MDS factory.
I had talked to my local Superchip dealer but he didn't think Superchip would help so I didn't try it.

I would try a different dyno. AFR and Spark advance should be consistent on a stock truck like yours and i don't see anything for tsb's on the 07's for surging so i would try a second dyno. If you are surging and loosing 10 or more horsepower consistently in one gear you are going to feel that in the butt dyno. I can see a dip in the dyno if it shifted, but to constantly go up and down like that, i cannot think of anything that would make it do that. Was that a 2nd or third gear pull?

Update: IT was a second gear pull and I do feel it on the road. With almost 50,000 on the odometer, I have run enough gas through it now to realize poor fuel is the issue. If I run about 3 tanks of 91 octane then the issue dissappers. Haven't been back to retest but likely will this fall. Thanks
