Hello everyone,
What I mean by "Been a long Time", is that I have owned a 95 Ram with a Cummins in it for the last 9 years. It has indeed been a while since I pumped gasoline into something. I bought an 03 Quad cab Hemi 4X4 5spd. about 1 month ago. I really like the truck. Got it for a great price so I couldn't pass it up. All black. I can tell you a lot about the 12valve Cummins in my other truck but I know nothing of the beast that lerks under the hood of th 03.
It needs a few minor things foremost of which is the exhaust. It is bad from the convertor back. Any recommendations? Second is a code I keep getting 0441. Something about emmissions I read from a link on here. Could this be from the lack of a muffler and tailpipe?
I am sure I will have many more questions later on during my ownership of this animal.
Still gives me the creeps about the whole gas in the tank thing. Guess I will get used to it.
Big Grin

The EVAP system is under the truck near the fuel tank. Check the hoses for cracks where they connect to the charcoal cannisters, leak detection pump, LDP fresh air filter, etc. Also be sure your gas cap really is sealing.

So what have we learned in 2 millennia?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
- Cicero - 55 B.C.

Apparently, nothing......

"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young,
compassionate with the aged,
sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong.
Because someday in life you will have been all of these."

George Washington Carver
