Guys, you will have to cut me some slack here,as I don't have the english word for the parts I have to replace, let me try to explain.Truck didn't pass inspection cause when the guy inspecting it had raised the front,he could "tilt" the front tires( I think it is the outer tie rods) He told me I have to replace them, just outer ones,on both sides. Now truck has only 17000miles on her,and I think it's ridiculus to have to replace them. What could be the cause,as this is clearly not normal?

Also when I called and ordered the parts, guy taking the order said" are you SURE you have to replace them on an 2008 truck? What else could it be? What the hell is causing this? dunno

Check the lug nuts Wink Just kidding... does the truck have any signs of being in an accident? There should be no reason a 2008 model would need tie rods this soon.

Did a quick search and found some scary news...
'08 & '09 2500/3500 recall.

Well,I finally received the tie rod ends yesterday, changed them out last night, and yes the "old" ones were just worn out dunno
Took a good look around while down there Big Grin everything is in perfect condition. Why those tie rods needed replacing I don't know.

ps.Got the truck inspected again this morning,no problem, perfect condition.I was bitching about having to replace tie rods at 17k miles, and the guy inspecting said" oh it's rather good to get that much out of them, they are junk" dunno Then he said Ford's are worse(what else is new)

Well,I am very happy with my great DODGE RAM 1500 HEMI. thumb2
