on the way home from school I went down a dirt road and hit the brakes to keep from hitting a goose and now the ABS motor is stuck on


WTF it wont shut off brakes work fine but no ABS even tho the motor is running

I would check the sensors near the tires, not sure if we have front or rear or all 4 abs, check the wiring first for and issues

whoops sorry I have 4 wheel ABS

ok so I have been driving around all this time with the fuse for the ABS pump pulled so it doesn't run it still runs if you put the fuse back in (darn didn't fix its self) and I cant get the rotors off to save my life

any ideas?

I cant remember a code I'll have to check tomorrow

there might be one now since I removed the fuse for the ABS so it wouldn't burn the motor up

just a CAI really and the only other thing is RP oil but that shouldn't matter and both of which I had been using quite some time before this happend

I need to find the front and rear sensor for the ABS to see if anything got stuck on them that might be causing this


on my buddies car the indexing ring that spins past the magnet cracked and stuck to the magnet and that made his kick on and stay on but the weird thing is if I put the fuse in my brakes will lock up even tho the motor is running

My '03 4X4 only has rear ABS. May want to double check yours. The rear ABS sensor is located on the rear axle just left of the driveshaft. Look in the "Drivetrain info/Other drivetrain talk" section and find the thread "How do I change my speed sensor?" The directions for the sensor are there. Odd that your ABS & parking brake light are not on. Sounds like you are getting power to the ABS motor from another source. Like something has shorted over. May want to look closely at the wire harness for any chaffing.
